Have you ever started doing something for fun, then realize you actually have a deep passion for it?

Láren (Lu) has always been attracted to all things creative, including writing, drawing, painting, crafting & of course henna tattoos. In 2014, Lu was given her first henna cone by her sister & since then she has never stopped!

Yes, it's true! I never stopped because the more henna tattoos I drew on myself, the more I wanted to practice and learn about the art, & history behind it. Henna caught my attention immediately thus my love for henna began. Eventually, I learned all I could about the traditions of henna and took the time to practice easy to really challenging designs to get better. The next step of building my small business was to learn how to be an entrepreneur. By 2019, I had earned the equivalent to a Bachelor's degree with an A.S in Business & Marketing, and an A.A. Liberal Arts. 

In my early years, I ran a DBA, Henna.Art.Vibes, where I attended local events every weekend to sell my henna services and get my real-world experience in a marketplace. With continuous support from  clients & friends, I became motivated to pursue my passion by turning it into a professional business as an artist. Now with my very own LLC, Designs by LF, I travel around providing henna services to individual clients, and for private events. I have been fortunate enough to work private events for grand openings (restaurants & retail), music video sets, concerts, art festivals, school field trips, and other private celebratory events!

It's my dream come true!

Connecting with so many new people over the years, while designing their henna makes the experience really special. Whether people are new to henna or not, it's wonderful to connect with others over the art of henna and to share the history while my clients are amazed at what they didn't know.

The many lessons and experiences that have come from working & managing myself at over 100+ events has helped me grow into my current company, Designs by LF, LLC.  Follow me along my journey as I reach for more growth, more exposure, and more passion!
